FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) – Lyon’s Den Garage held free safety checks Saturday for 25 single mothers ahead of winter.
“We got them inspected, topped off a lot of fluids, and this afternoon we’ve been doing repairs on safety-related issues to help get them down the road,” co-owner Trey Lyon said.
Volunteers and donations
Lyon said the idea was first pitched by an anonymous donor. Local mechanics donated time and businesses donated supplies.
