RAPID CITY, S.D. – Operating on East Saint Patrick Street, Moose Lodge 1137 is part of an international network dedicated to caring for youth and seniors. The local chapter frequently opens its doors for charity events and personal gatherings, welcoming residents of all generations into their support network.
The Rapid City location boasts approximately 750 members who regularly organize clothing drives, provide event spaces to members, and donate thousands of dollars to local schools and recreation groups. Recently, the lodge presented a check for more than $3,000 to the Girls’ Rushmore Thunder Hockey team.
“We do every community thing you can think of,” said Raymond Maxwell, a Moose Lodge member of 19 years, “Stevens High School fundraisers, Central High School fundraisers. Every softball team in Rapid City has fundraisers here.”…
