Every November, tens of thousands of dance music fans descend on the grounds around Camping World Stadium for EDC Orlando. They transform Tinker Field and its neighboring lots into a massive electronic playground. Now, the city is overhauling that immediate district with a major infrastructure upgrade. The City of Orlando has advanced plans for a brand-new, $61 million municipal event center. This center will sit across from Camping World Stadium along West Church Street. The facility cleared crucial municipal hurdles. It forms a core pillar of a broader $400 million stadium campus transformation funded through Orange County’s Tourist Development Tax.
What The New Facility Delivers
Designed as a multipurpose venue, the project aims to bridge the gap between outdoor stadium productions and smaller entertainment programming.
Key features include:
- Dedicated Event Capacity: Engineered to accommodate standalone indoor shows, banquets, esports, and auxiliary music programming.
- Campus Integration: Takes up an entire city block on West Church Street, expanding the operational footprint of major festivals and stadium tours.
- Modernized Logistics: Includes dedicated traffic circulation and crowd management plans. These plans are required by city staff to mitigate neighborhood congestion during major show dates.

Whether leveraged for indoor stages, VIP lounge buildouts, production headquarters, or bad-weather contingency spaces, the facility significantly elevates the capabilities of the Tinker Field complex…
