Gas prices in Stanislaus County dropped again this week, but energy experts say drivers shouldn’t get too excited, because the cost of fuel remains volatile.
Prices in the county now average $6.02 per gallon in the latest survey by AAA, down from $6.20 a week ago. A year ago, the county’s average price was $4.39 per gallon.
The lowest price at Stanislaus County stations in the latest GasBuddy.com report is $5.47 per gallon at the Sinclair station at 1149 W. F St. in Oakdale. Several stations in Modesto and other communities have it for $5.49. The survey is for regular-grade fuel…
