The 2026 general election takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026—and as of today, Oct. 19, early voting has started in Sarasota and Manatee counties. This year, Floridians will choose a new governor, attorney general and U.S. senator, as well as vote in races for state representation, circuit court judges and more.
Unlike Election Day, when voters must go to their assigned polling place, early voting allows voters to cast their ballots at any open polling location.
Registered voters must present current and valid signature/photo ID at any designated early voting site prior to voting.
