BATAVIA, N.Y. — Bob Eising met Alex Alisme during a mission trip Trinity Lutheran Church took to Haiti in 2018, where Alex acted as an interpreter for the group.
Alex arrived in the United States in September 2024 under a special program offered by the Biden administration to allow Haitians threatened with violence to come to the country.
