It’s been five years since the old Randalls in Bellaire closed its doors. Soon, the vacated space will be back open as a new Trader Joe’s. The California-based grocery chain has announced several new stores opening soon across the U.S., including one at 5130 Bellaire Blvd., just across the street from an H-E-B.
Trader Joe’s said its crews are working hard and the new store will open sometime in 2027. According to a permit filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the estimated $900,000 interior build-out is expected to begin in December and be completed by March.
Trader Joe’s’ debut in the Bellaire Boulevard Center has been a long time coming for folks who don’t want to venture to the other Houston-area stores in Montrose, Uptown or the Westside.
