MOBILE, Ala. (TCN) — A 37-year-old woman has been sentenced to 15 years and one day in prison after being convicted of first-degree assault in connection with an acid attack on her friend last year.
According to the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office, Quicheay Williams needed a place to stay, and in February 2025, her friend Jasmine Clausell allowed her to move into her home. After Williams had been there for about two weeks, Clausell asked her to leave. Williams got angry and threw a chemical onto Clausell, “causing third-degree burns from head to toe.”
Clausell told WPMI that Williams and her dog had become homeless, and that is why she invited her to live in the home. She said, “It was just a lot of complaining, like her energy was just off. … She was doing a lot of moping around.”…
