A Storm Warning is in effect for Atlantic waters off the Mid-Atlantic coast, with north to northeast winds up to 55 knots and seas up to 27 feet, as a nor’easter churns offshore.
Coastal Flood Advisories cover parts of New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.
Another round of high tides is expected Wednesday evening.
A knot is about 1.15 mph, so 55 knots is roughly 63 mph.
Inland areas may hardly notice, but a nor’easter will be lurking off the coast for the next few days. While no rain is expected even at the coast, some increase in clouds, winds, surf and water levels is expected. Use caution if venturing near or onto the waters. pic.twitter.com/XAp334Du2M
