GUILDERLAND — A cannabis retailer hoping to open on Western Avenue walked out of the Guilderland Planning Board’s October meeting not with the approval she was seeking, but with a years-old punch list meant for the site’s landlord.
The board voted unanimously to send the proposed retail cannabis dispensary at 2555 Western Ave. to the zoning board of appeals with three recommendations aimed not at the dispensary, but the site where the shop is to be located.
The recommendation came after a neighbor told the board that much of what had been required of the property owner three years earlier was either never done or had since been abandoned, and that the newest tenant should not be allowed to open until the requirements are met…
