Storm Track 3 Forecast: Warm Friday, western Kansas rain this weekend

Another nice, warm day in Kansas with many making it into the 80s.

We stay quiet overnight as lows fall to the 50s.

Another warm day to close the week. Winds will be a bit gusty, especially in western Kansas.

A slow moving storm system will approach over the weekend, bringing several rounds of rainfall with it. This will begin in far western Kansas by Friday night.

Rain slowly spreads farther east Saturday through Monday.

With the slow approach of the upper level low and its lift to the north, this will keep most of the rain in western Kansas. From 1 to 3″ of rain is possible to the west, while it will be a struggle to clear half an inch east of I-135.

Cooler temps follow, with mild highs in the 60s for several days next week. Another storm system is looking to follow up late next week.
