CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — Almost 10 years after Harry Bennett was found stabbed in his Johns Island apartment, detectives have finally cracked the case.
On Aug. 20, 2017, one of his neighbors found Bennett murdered inside his Johns Island Rural Housing apartment. Detectives determined that Bennett had been fatally stabbed multiple times, but the answer as to who stabbed him took more than nine years.
“It was very obvious that Mr. Bennett had been violently attacked inside of his apartment,” Daniel Wilson, Charleston Police Department spokesman, said. “And detectives, after obtaining a search warrant and going in there properly, were able to process the scene and start to collect more evidence to begin to understand what exactly had happened.”…
