CHAMBERSBURG – Quest Diagnostics is investigating a cybersecurity breach that may have exposed patient information after an unauthorized party gained access to one of the company’s systems.
The New Jersey-based medical laboratory company disclosed the incident in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday, October 22. Quest said it learned of the unauthorized access on Wednesday and believes certain patient records may have been accessed.
