The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Friday for the 21st time in 22 days, falling 1.7 cents to $6.134.
The average price has decreased 30.5 cents over the past 22 days, including 3.2 cents Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It dropped 10 consecutive days, rose four-tenths of a cent Oct. 12 and resumed decreasing the following day.
The run of decreases follows a 44-day streak of increases totaling 79.7 cents that brought the average price within 5.4 cents of its record high, $6.493, set Oct. 5, 2022…
