On October 23, 2026, at approximately 4:08 p.m., the Plainfield Fire Protection District was dispatched to a rock quarry located in the 22900 block of W. 119th Street in unincorporated Plainfield for a reported industrial accident.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel found that a large dump truck had overturned and the driver was trapped within the vehicle. Firefighters, paramedics, and other responding agencies worked to assess the situation and provide assistance. Tragically, the driver was pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained in the incident.
