For decades, many Cumberland County residents made visiting Lawrence Thornton at T&T Farmers Market a part of their weekly routine. Today, customers are mourning the loss of Thornton, who made his mark on Fayetteville as a local business owner for more than half a century.
Thornton, 88, died Oct. 7, according to his obituary. On Oct. 11, the T&T Farmers Market Facebook page posted that the store would be closed until further notice as they reviewed next steps. Attempts to reach Thornton’s family were unsuccessful…
