An Indiana man pleaded guilty Friday to murder and burglary in the strangling death of a 75-year-old Evansville real estate agent whose body was found inside her basement last year.
Jamerus P. Parkman, 35, entered the plea Oct. 23 in the killing of Susan Haynie.
Officers first arrived at Haynie’s home in the 3300 block of East Gum Street around 5 p.m. on Aug. 27 after receiving a call about a medical emergency. First responders found Haynie unresponsive and determined she was beyond life-saving efforts. She was pronounced dead at the scene…
