We are tracking strong to severe thunderstorms in the Borderland! El Paso has seen a slew of severe thunderstorms with very heavy pockets of pea to marble sized hail and heavy rain, not a lot of strong winds associated with the storms!
A lot of rainfall fell on small portions of El Paso that prompted a few water rescues. According to the City of El Paso, emergency crews responded to a water rescue involving a vehicle on South Desert Boulevard. No injuries reported… Also, after a reservoir overflowed near Dawnlight Lane in the Enchanted Hills area of El Paso 16 homes had to be evacuated. All residents have a place to stay at this time.
Most of the strongest activity has died down across the area, but there is still a flood threat. A Flood Watch is place effect until tomorrow morning…
