Hank and George, the mule team that pulled boat rides on the Lehigh Canal since 2006, have retired south of the Mason-Dixon Line.
The National Canal Museum in Easton this past week announced the end of service for the pair born to Percheron draft horse mares and donkey sires.
Their departure follows a 2026 season in which the museum remained closed and mule-drawn rides were suspended, as the park anticipated the closure of its only vehicle access road…
