When Max & Erma’s closed years ago on Third St., someone left sticky notes outside of it, with a sign that asked people to write down what they wanted to see there instead.
It eventually became Wunderbar, then Chapman’s Eat Market, both of which have closed. But I vividly remember almost all of the sticky notes saying “a grocery store,” or “local market.”
Almost a decade later, and a grocery store is finally coming to the German Village area. Not on Third St., but just around the corner at 900 S. High St.…
