Wellington, CO – A man wanted on multiple felony warrants was shot during an encounter with Larimer County sheriff‘s deputies Sunday evening, October 25, following an hourslong confrontation at a home in Wellington, north of Fort Collins.
According to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to contact the man shortly before 2:30 p.m. at a residence in the 8200 block of Fourth Street. Authorities said the man refused repeated instructions to leave the home, prompting an extended law enforcement response.
