The University of Oregon will, on Oct. 28, welcome a Turning Point USA event in the heart of campus — a stark contrast to the organization’s previous “official University of Oregon” event in 2021.
The event, a full-on Charlie Kirk pop-up tent-style “prove me wrong” debate forum at the Erb Memorial Union amphitheater, will be hosted by Alex Stein as part of the “Pick Up The Mic Initiative.”
A lot has changed in five years since the 2021 event, including the fact that then-CEO and founder Charlie Kirk was still alive and the “Kirkification” of his image from outspoken bigot (to put it very lightly) to conservative sainthood that followed his killing hadn’t happened yet…
