WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A basketball Hall of Famer turned DJ and a North Carolina folk-rock staple will headline the North Carolina Azalea Festival’s 80th anniversary concert series.
Festival organizers announced DJ Diesel, the stage name for former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal, will perform Thursday, April 8, 2027, at Live Oak Bank Pavilion. The Avett Brothers will follow Friday, April 9, 2027, at the same venue.
