LAKE COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – Morton Salt announced Monday they have shut down mining operations at its salt mine in Fairport Harbor.
A spokesperson said on Oct. 22, they discovered a “significant inflow of water” in the mine.
All miners were immediately evacuated and the spokesperson said they notified all the appropriate regulatory authorities…
