HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Martin Marietta is proposing to move the entrance to its rock quarry from Stringfield Road to Blake Bottom Road in an effort to ease truck traffic in north Huntsville.
District 1 Councilwoman Michelle Watkins hosted a town hall Thursday night to give residents a chance to ask questions and hear directly from Martin Marietta representatives. The company says the proposed change would reroute truck traffic away from Stringfield Road.
