Though one familiar face in San Antonio TV has only been with his current station a short while, he’s no stranger to the airwaves. One of the Alamo City’s most recognizable anchors just celebrated 30 years since he first stepped foot behind the anchor desk in Texas.
KSAT 12 evening anchor Ernie Zuniga marked the special occasion with a Facebook post on Monday, October 26. In the post, he reminisced about his “very first night behind the anchor desk” at KAVU Crossroads Today in Victoria, a small city near the Gulf of Mexico.
“It was a Saturday night sportscast, there was NO IFB [a communication system that goes directly into the anchor’s earpiece], and I went TWO MINUTES longer than I was supposed to! Stephanie, Sarah and Brandi were so sweet, patient and supportive!” he wrote…
