Henry’s on the Market will become the first building on the Market to receive a historic placard from the Preservation Society of Charleston on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026. The recognition marks a milestone for the restaurant, which has called Market Street home since 1932.
The placard comes as Henry’s looks toward its 100th anniversary in 2032, connecting the restaurant’s next chapter with the history of its Market Street home.
Located at 54 North Market St., across from the Charleston City Market, Henry’s has welcomed generations of residents and visitors over its 94-year history.
