Community CARES plans to open The Cove, a 44-bed emergency homeless shelter, in early November at 230 S. Spring Garden St. in Carlisle, according to Cumberland County.
The shelter will operate 24 hours a day for men and women. It will offer individual and semi-private sleeping spaces, kitchen, laundry and hygiene facilities, secure storage, mail services, computers and Wi-Fi.
