The team behind upscale Turkish restaurant Meyhouse is continuing to bring Turkish flavors to Silicon Valley, but this time in the form of baked goods, including soft and buttery açma and rich and tender su böreği.
Established in 2019 in Sunnyvale, Meyhouse expanded to Palo Alto in 2023, with its sister restaurant Meze Kebab debuting in January. Leyla Bakery is the team’s newest project, and the Turkish bakery launched its pickup and delivery service last month out of Meyhouse’s existing restaurants. Owner Omer Artun, who named the bakery after his daughter, hopes to open Leyla’s brick and mortar in Santa Clara early next year…
