For Nevada linebacker EJ Smith, this week’s game against UCLA won’t be the first time playing in the Rose Bowl.
No, Smith didn’t play against the Bruins earlier in his college career. He did so while in elementary school.
“I played in the Rose Bowl once when I was a little kid back in youth ball,” Smith said. “It’s just an amazing place to play. There’s been a lot of legendary games that have been played there, so it means a lot to be able to go back home and play in front of the family.”…
