Federal workplace safety inspectors are investigating what led to the amputation that occurred on Oct. 12 at the growing campus about 20 miles east of Austin.
The amputation was the fifth such injury reported at one of the rocket company’s Texas sites since 2021, according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
