PORTAGE LAKES — Jeremy Wilson said his son Cole would always ask him about the boat parades and events on the Portage Lakes and why children did not participate. He told his son it was something fun that adults liked to do.
But then Wilson realized children like to have fun, too, and when his son started talking about his Halloween costume, Wilson got the idea to have a lake trick or treat event called Boos and Boats.
“After some time thinking how it would work and how to get enough people to participate, I reached out to the followers on my Facebook page, Portage Lakes Kids Club, and instantly got some people showing interest,” Wilson said…
