1955 Campbellton Rd. SW — Reported Location of Earlier Homicide
A 25-year-old man is dead after being shot multiple times at a Chevron gas station on Campbellton Road in southwest Atlanta, and police are now searching for two suspects believed to have fled in a blue Jeep Compass. Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 10:30 p.m. and found the victim wounded at the scene before he was rushed to a hospital, where he died.
Victim Rushed to Hospital, Did Not Survive
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, officers arrived to find the man shot several times at the gas station. He was taken to a local hospital, but, as the station reported, “Sadly, he didn’t survive his injuries.” Atlanta police had not released the victim’s identity as of the report, and his name remains unknown to the public.
Detectives believe the shooting stemmed from a dispute that escalated into gunfire, the same report noted. Investigators are now looking for two suspects who are believed to have last been seen fleeing in a blue Jeep Compass, though no further details about their identities or whereabouts have been released. Area Has Seen Violence Before
This is not the first deadly shooting reported near that stretch of Campbellton Road. The Atlanta Police Department says its Homicide Unit secured arrest warrants in April for Terry Hill in connection with a November 23, 2025, homicide at 1955 Campbellton Road SW, just doors down from the gas station.
