The New Jersey Office of the Attorney General released additional details regarding a fatal police-involved shooting that occurred Wednesday in Moonachie.
The person who died has been identified as Roberto Castro-Quinonez, 30, of Bakersfield, California.
According to preliminary information, New Jersey State Police detectives were conducting a criminal investigation near Gotham Parkway and West Commercial Avenue at approximately 5:15 p.m. when Castro-Quinonez approached one of the detectives.
