A Blount County Circuit Court Judge ruled Thursday afternoon that jurors for the trial against Kenneth Wayne DeHart Jr., 44, of Alcoa, should be pulled from outside Blount County, but stopped short of ordering the trial itself be moved elsewhere.
DeHart was arrested Feb. 13, 2024, just five days after officials say he fatally shot Blount County Sheriff’s deputy Greg McCowan and wounded deputy Shelby Eggers during a traffic stop on Sevierville Road.
