Joliet, IL – Drivers traveling Interstate 80 through Will County should prepare for overnight lane closures, temporary traffic stops and a major westbound traffic change beginning this weekend as construction continues near Joliet.
According to the Illinois Department of Transportation, overnight restrictions are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 1, ahead of a new traffic configuration taking effect Monday, Nov. 2.
The changes will affect westbound I-80 between Center Street and Houbolt Road, a heavily traveled stretch connecting Joliet, Rockdale and surrounding communities in the southwest Chicago metropolitan area…
