CLEARWATER, Fla. — A 32-year-old motorcyclist died Thursday at Tampa General Hospital, two days after suffering severe injuries in an afternoon crash on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard, authorities said.
Emergency personnel from Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue were called to the scene at 1:54 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. First responders found the rider with potentially life-threatening injuries, and emergency crews flew him by helicopter to Tampa General Hospital for treatment.
Following the collision, police closed all westbound lanes of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard while investigators documented the scene and worked to determine what led to the crash. Drivers were asked to steer clear of the corridor throughout Tuesday afternoon…
