A 27-year-old man in Texas will spend the rest of his life in prison for killing a 52-year-old pediatrician, stabbing her in front of several children as she sat on a picnic table in the communal area outside her apartment complex.
Montgomery County District Judge Phil Grant on Thursday sentenced Miles Joseph Fridrich to life in state prison for the 2023 slaying of Dr. Talat Jehan Khan, court records show. Grant handed down the sentence after Fridrich pleaded guilty to one count of murder for the unprovoked attack.
