Wells Fargo will lay off 87 employees from its Roanoke County customer service facility in three phases by the end of the year, according to letters recently sent to local and state officials.
The letters were dated Sept. 29, Oct. 13 and Oct. 27 and were posted on the state’s layoffs notification website in the past week.
Sixty employees will be terminated on Nov. 28, six on Dec. 12 and 21 on Dec. 26, according to the letters. Based on job titles listed in the company’s letters, the cuts primarily affect Wells Fargo’s fraud and claims operations…
