Oregon freshman wide receiver Messiah Hampton was arrested on Friday afternoon by Springfield police in connection with a high-speed chase earlier this month.
The 18-year-old from Rochester, New York, was booked into Lane County Jail on two felony counts of attempting to elude police and one misdemeanor count of reckless driving. He was released later that evening.
The charges stem from an incident in the early morning hours of Oct. 18, shortly after the Ducks defeated Nebraska at Autzen Stadium.
