A man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after he fell onto the tracks at the Virginia Square Metro station on Friday and was struck by a train.
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority said the man was trespassing, and had stumbled and fallen “unintentionally.” He was hit by a train approaching the station at around 11:45 a.m.
