Chicago, IL – Illinois residents can begin shopping for 2027 health insurance coverage Sunday, Nov. 1, as the state’s official marketplace opens enrollment amid federal changes that could affect eligibility and financial assistance for some households.
According to Get Covered Illinois, the annual open enrollment period runs from Nov. 1 through Jan. 15, 2027, allowing residents to enroll in, renew or change health insurance plans through the state’s Affordable Care Act marketplace.
