PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Open enrollment for 2027 health insurance begins Sunday, Nov. 1, giving Rhode Island residents an opportunity to compare plans, review premiums and determine whether they qualify for new state and federal financial assistance.
Rhode Islanders can enroll through HealthSource RI, the state’s official health insurance marketplace. The 2027 open enrollment period runs from Nov. 1, 2026, through Jan. 31, 2027.
Residents who want coverage in place for the beginning of the year are encouraged to act early. HealthSource RI says customers should select and pay for a plan by Dec. 23 to have coverage begin Jan. 1 and receive insurance cards before the new year.
