An early morning police shooting on Sunday is now under investigation by the S.C. Law Enforcement Division.
Irmo police officers responded Sunday to a domestic disturbance call on Ashbourne Road, SLED said in a news release. When officers approached the home’s front door, a man wielding an AR rifle opened the door, and at least one shot was fired by an Irmo police officer.
But the man carrying the AR was not struck by the bullet, and no one was injured in the encounter, SLED said…
