Lewiston, N.Y. (WBEN) – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge say they seized a firearm from a passenger vehicle driven by a U.S. citizen.
Last week Friday, CBP officers encountered Angel Lozano, a U.S. citizen who arrived at the primary inspection area after making a wrong turn onto the border crossing. The 25-year-old was referred for secondary inspection to verify his identity, because he did not possess authorized travel documents.
During a vehicle inspection, CBP officers recovered a Springfield Armory XD5 firearm, as well as a small amount of marijuana. Additional checks revealed that Lozano had prior criminal history that prohibited him from possessing a firearm…
