Mercy Hospital Fort Smith has added the da Vinci 5 Surgical System, the latest generation of robotic-assisted surgical technology, according to a press release.
The addition of the da Vinci 5 strengthens Mercy‘s ability to offer advanced surgical options and improved experiences for patients throughout western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma, the release stated.
“The addition of the da Vinci 5 gives more surgeons access to the latest robotic technology and enables us to continue growing our minimally invasive surgery program,” said Sarah Eck, executive director of surgical services at Mercy Fort Smith. “Ultimately, this means more patients can benefit from smaller incisions, quicker recovery times and access to advanced surgical care close to home.”…
