A palpable sense of history is felt upon entering West High School. It’s no wonder, given how the institution has occupied this historic building at 241 N. 300 West since 1922.
But in a few short years, and after more than a century of service, the brick and terra cotta Gothic of old West will depart, replaced by the modern structure of a new West taking shape across the street. Those involved with realizing the school’s next chapter are excited for the results, but stress that they do not intend to leave the past entirely behind…
