Sam’s KIDS Marks 10 Years of Camping Out for Coats With a Night at Frawley Stadium

The outfield at Frawley Stadium in Wilmington will become a campground on Saturday, Nov. 14, when Sam’s KIDS hosts its 10th annual Camping Out for Coats. Presented by the WSFS Cares Foundation, the overnight fundraiser helps purchase new winter coats for Delaware elementary school students through Operation Warm.

This is the first year the campout will take place at Frawley Stadium, located at 801 Shipyard Drive on the Wilmington Riverfront. Families, friends, businesses, and community groups can sign up to spend the night on the field. The event also includes an evening kickoff party for anyone who wants to take part without camping overnight.

The kickoff runs from 4 to 9 p.m. in the outfield. Guests can listen to live music, bid in a silent auction, play yard games, and gather around bonfires for fireside chats. Food and drinks will be available, along with hot chocolate and a s’mores bar. After the celebration, registered campers will settle into their tents for the night…
