More than a year ago, Erie News Now introduced viewers to a young girl whose life changed dramatically after she was diagnosed with a rare lung disease. Today, despite the challenges she faces, 10-year-old Karaleigh Landfried continues to inspire those around her with her strength, resilience, and positive outlook.
When we first met Karaleigh, she was preparing to enter third grade. Known for her bright personality and contagious smile, she loved staying active. Before her diagnosis, she spent her days playing softball and basketball and swimming whenever she had the chance.
