Opening at 225 E. President Street in Savannah, Sabal House is an upcoming hotel that promises to be “A Quiet Place to Come Alive.”
The hotel is now accepting reservations starting in December, and according to coverage by food blog Eat It & Like It, it’s going to feature a new restaurant: Oak Steakhouse, the steakhouse brand that launched Charleston-based Indigo Road Hospitality Group.
“The menu centers on Prime Certified Angus Beef, with wet- and dry-aged cuts like the New York Strip and Bone-In Ribeye, alongside local seafood. The wine list is for serious drinkers: more than 200 bottles, heavy on big California Cabernets and Old World reds from Italy and Bordeaux. That lineage is what Savannah is getting, and it’s why I paused when I read that email… This is a polished steakhouse from top to bottom. Look at photos of the new Athens location and you’ll see what’s headed our way. I expect it to be very good very quickly.”…
